Thanks Graeme. We are so pleased with all the dog training advice you've given. Loftus is a terrier so we know a lot is his instinct but we are in control of him outside now, not the other way as it was before we knew you! He's responding really well to the normal collar and lead. He is always eager when we first start walking but he understands he's got to calm down.
With regards to his reaction to other dogs, now there's no shouting, no hiding him from the other dog, just calmly controlling the situation, not letting it phase us and the results are good. Thank you so much for all your help. We didn't really know how to deal with him when out of the house and now that situation has changed totally. Added 16th Feb 2011
